Together we seek to raise much-needed support and awareness for foster children, who often enter care with only the clothes on their backs. Throughout the year, the programs raise funds through events, partnerships, in-store and online to help provide comfortable shoes, warm clothing, school supplies, pajamas, holiday gifts and funding for extracurricular activities.
These items are not only indispensable basics—they can also be powerful tools in building a child’s self-esteem during a difficult time. All donations are distributed to carefully chosen Ticket to Dream Foundation foster care partner agencies across the country. To date, these drives have collected over 3 million essential items for foster children in need.
Together, these events have raised over 7 million dollars for foster care organizations and have made it possible for foster children in our communities to pursue post-secondary educations, transition into independent living, participate in special extracurricular activities, benefit from CASA representation, receive emergency placement services and therapeutic support.
Mattress Firm is an outstanding supporter of foster youth. They advertise this program across social channels and hundreds of TV and radio stations to bring awareness to foster youth and engage our communities to join our mission to help. You’ll often see employees out in the field donating their time, making a difference. We work hand in hand to help foster kids, just be kids.
