Celebrating Nearly Two Decades of Impact by Ticket to Dream

Since 2006, Ticket to Dream has been dedicated to providing meaningful support for foster youth across the country. Today, we are proud to celebrate a powerful milestone. Together with our donors, volunteers & nonprofit partners, we have supported more than 5 million foster youth nationwide through programs designed to meet essential needs, create opportunities & provide rapid response when the unexpected happens.

A Milestone Made Possible by Community

This milestone belongs to every person who packed a box, hosted a drive, made a donation, or shared our mission. Foster care can be unpredictable & gaps in support often appear without warning. Ticket to Dream exists to step in during those moments, ensuring foster parents, youth aging out of care & charity partners do not have to navigate challenges alone.

Five million represents more than reach. It represents confidence restored, stress relieved & children reminded that they matter.

Our Impact by Program

Essentials Program | 4.9 million foster youth supported

Our Essentials program provides everyday necessities such as new shoes, clothing, school supplies, hygiene items & basic household needs. These items allow foster youth to feel comfortable, confident & prepared for daily life while easing the financial strain on caregivers & charity partners.

Take Flight Program | 62,000 foster youth supported

Through Take Flight, we help foster youth access opportunities that encourage independence, education & future planning. This program focuses on removing financial barriers so youth can pursue experiences that expand their confidence & sense of possibility.

Ally for Kids Program | 58,000 foster youth supported

The Ally for Kids program delivers targeted support to marginalized foster youth, including LGBTQIA+ youth & youth of color. By addressing unique & often unmet needs, this program helps foster youth feel valued & supported in authentic ways.

GoPlay! Program | 96,000 foster youth supported

GoPlay! helps foster youth participate in sports, arts & extracurricular activities. They also get to participate in everyday experiences like visiting their favorite sporting event, a concert or the local state fair. These experiences build confidence, create bonding opportunities for foster families, & create a sense of belonging that is essential for healthy development.

Disaster Relief Program | 3,000 foster youth supported

When natural disasters or emergencies disrupt foster care placements, Ticket to Dream responds quickly. Our disaster relief program ensures families have access to essentials during times of crisis so stability can be restored as quickly as possible & foster families can stay together.

Reaching 5 million foster youth is a moment of pride & gratitude, but it is not a finish line. The needs of foster youth continue to evolve & unexpected challenges will always arise.
